I belong to a group of women who has a Thursday night regimen we call “the Divorcee’s”. Oh yes, it is a support group for women who had the courage to divorce their husbands with nothing on their pockets and yet managed to make it through. As their president and a licensed therapist, I shared with all of them some one-on-one sessions and all of us we’re making progress. A thought popped out and one of the members said, “Let’s make this an official group by having funny t shirts mocking our husbands as uniform.” At first, I was hesitant until Edna brought her son’s shirt in a meeting one day.

It was a simple but extremely comical shirt. The quality of the shirt itself was above standard but what caught my eye were the funny antics written in front. It was a piece of work, literally! They all loved it at once, so then and there we decided to pick the best shirt for our group.

It took us 3 hours and one bottle of red wine to select the best shirt at this really fine website. All of the shirts were so nice that we wanted all of it! But we can only have one of the funny shirts as the official “the Divorcee’s” uniform. What we chose? A yellow casual t-shirt and they have it until 2XL, with this in front: ALL MEN ARE IDIOTS. I MARRIED THEIR KING. 

I called the office supplies store to see if we could add some additional office supply items to our order and they were very accommodating. The woman on the phone did tell me that the delivery man was just getting ready to walk out of the store, but they would be willing to wait while the items were added.

I did not need any of the office supply items quickly, so I thanked the woman from the office supplies store and hung up the phone. I knew that they would be there later in the day, but I would be gone by then. I made my assistant stay and check in everything that was going to be delivered. I know that tomorrow morning when I come in, everything will be here and put away.

There were two things left on my list of things to do today and they were both things to do with finding contractors for my boss. He just bought a new home that needs quite a bit of work. He is not going to move in to it until some things are complete. I do not blame him, I have seen the house and I would not want to live there in its present state.

The first thing that needs to be done, so that the leaking stops, is for me to find some affordable PA roofers. My boss seems to think that he can have the entire roof tore off, and replaced for under five thousand dollars. I laughed when he said this and I am truly thinking that it will be more like double the five thousand but I am getting three PA roofers to give me estimates and then he can make the final decision of who to hire.

The other thing on my list is to call the bathroom remodeling company that he gave me and set up a time for them to do an estimate. It really does not matter how much it costs, since he is using them no matter what. His son in law actually owns the bathroom remodeling company, so it is pretty much a done deal and they do a great job.

When we started shopping for a new home there were a few concerns of mine that needed to be addressed. My husband’s concerns were slightly different but they were also good concerns. My main thing was that the yard needed to be large enough for the kids and fenced in for the dogs. He agreed with me on this one but he was more worried about enough garage space and things like that.

All in all, he knew I needed to get my way or we would keep looking until we found the right home. The third home we looked at had the perfect yard and it was fenced in. But as we started to walk across the yard, the mosquitoes and pests were flying up from the grass and in our faces. It was horrible. I immediately told our agent that I want a pest control service to come out and treat the area.

Our agent put this in our offer to the homeowners and they accepted it. Within a few weeks, an organic pest control company had the yard all free of bugs and pests. My kids and pets were safe and they really enjoy the yard to this day. I am glad I was a stickler on what needed to be done.

The ad on the television was about a company who could help you to sell structured settlement payments. I knew that a friend of mine had a structured settlement but I wondered if she knew that she could sell the payments and get more of the money upfront than waiting for each of the payments to come in.

I was able to score an interview with Perry Stone and I am so happy. It is not until next month and I have to travel on a plane for about eight hours till I get to the meeting destination point but it is going to be worth it. I have been trying for at least ten years to get some sort of meeting or interview with him and somehow it just never worked out until now.

I have only told a few of my colleagues about the interview, just because I do not want to jinx it. If I were to tell too many people, I am afraid that something might happen and it would fall through. It is just best to wait, get to the interview, talk with Perry Stone, fly back and write the article and then let them find out what I did that way.

I do not expect to win any awards from this particular interview and article, but I know that there are a lot of journalists who would love to be in my shoes when I sit down to ask questions and he answers them all. This has been something that I have wanted to do for a very long time and knowing that I am about to do it, makes me feel great.

I told a few of my friends about the tons of people that were selling old gold that day and how much money they were being paid. I think that they all would have come, if they had known about it. I wish that I would have thought to invite them but it kind of slipped my mind.

Now, with those five hundred dollars, I am going to start doing my shopping with one of the online companies that sell gold online for such great prices. Maybe I should just use both of them and get the things that I like the best on both of the sites.

After searching for the perfect place to stay for a weeklong vacation, my parents decided that it would be best to find a bed and breakfast type of place. They have never really been big on hotel staying so they did some investigating to find a Galena lodging place that would fit the bill.

They remembered a place that my grandparents had stayed years ago in Galena. It was a huge historic building that had been turned into a bed and breakfast but they could not quite remember the name of it. They just remember how it looked so it took them some researching to find pictures of many Galena inns before they finally found the right one.

Once they found it and after celebrating that it was still open for business, they called and booked a week there right away. I was happy for them because it looked like a really neat place to stay. It was an old historic building with a lot of character. The town of Galena looked like a nice place to visit although I had never been there.

My parents spoke highly of it and said they had some really great memories as kids. The lodging was really affordable and made for a nice vacation. They came home very relaxed and must have had a really good and enjoyable time.
