Starting a New Flock
Business June 21st, 2010My dad is a working pastor for a local church. He has been ministering this congregation for nine years, when he has been called to another state to start a new church. We were excited and scared at the same time, wondering how the community will be able to accept us. But my dad, who was ardent in his faith, just took up his stuff and called on the Raleigh movers at once-another hand to help us out.
We got our things packed and ready, when the long distance movers came to pick up the things to move with us. During the travel, our hearts were filled with sadness as we bade goodbye to this community of believers who has been with us for almost a decade. But not a new light has been shed, and we will start a new set of believers to a community we don’t know.
When we got there, the fear in our hearts turned into delight as we saw the smiling faces of each person who welcomed us. They were very eager to welcome our family into their neighborhood, and even helped we unpack. I guess that’s what fired up our enthusiasm, we started a new service every Sunday and we got a new congregation whom we would share our life with.
