I was shocked to learn that my sister had bought a used ibm computer to use in her law practice. She said that she remembered having one when she first got out of law school, but had replaced it many times since then with newer and faster computers.

When she saw the used ibm computer for sale in a thrift shop, she just knew that she had to have it. The prior ibm computers that she had owned never gave her any trouble. All of the newer faster ones, had things going out on them all the time. She said that she did not really need all the fancy stuff, just a used ibm computer to let her input the information and perform every day.

She said that she had also picked up a couple of used pseries servers at the thrift shop that she was going to keep on hand in case any servers in her office were to go out. She had paid about fifty dollars for everything she bought at the thrift store.

I know that I have never seen and used ibm computers or pseries servers at my local thrift store, but I am definitely going to paying attention the next time that I go.
